Our friends "Artists"
Alain Simon - artiste peintre
Actually you can see some paintings of our friend Alain Simon on display at our bed and breakfast La Villa Paris.
Alain Simon is born in 1955 in the Lorraine region in France. He lives and works in Maxéville, near Nancy and teaches at the Ecole de l'Image Art College in Épinal, Vosges. Since 1984, he has participated at numerous exhibitions in France, Germany, Luxemburg and Japan.
The 'daily drawings'
The 'daily drawings' adventure started in April 1997 as the result of a collaboration with the philosopher P.M.P (Pierre Plumerey), author of "today's idea".
It consists of making in a week seven drawing, one per day, in order to show the construction of aesthetics and meaning in a process of constant evolution. Since December 2002, the 'daily drawings' evolution can be watched every week on the web. The web site has featured a creativity that has enabled viewers to follow the everyday evolution of ideas, the hesitations, the delicate nature of taking risks. It allows to share an adventure, both beautiful and sensual, about the meaning of drawing in everyday life.
The 'shared days' series
As for the 'daily drawings' this series is constructed in the artist's studio in a permanent weekly progressing process of painting. The variety of subjects corresponds to the diversity and wealth of life. The starting point for this creative process can be the view at things from another angle, the meeting with somebody, a new book, a state of being in the mood. The ' shared days' series are fragile assemblied pieces which are about uncertainties of life, about human relations, things and locations.
you find the drawings on the website «l'avoir-lieu»
Sami Sader - interior architect and designer
Sami Sader interior architect and designer, has created ten years ago, a new contemporary concept based on architectural and pure lines with raw materials as wood, leather and natural fabrics, which gives to the whole collection a great harmony.
He decorated for us the both perhaps most beautiful rooms of La Villa Paris,
Concorde and
Champs Elysees..
Our most favorite "object", presented in these rooms, is the armchair "
Clubhouse".
